Hike the Lake Lake Minnewanka

We drove to Lake Minnewanka from Canmore. It took us just under 30 minutes.

We rate this hike easy for everyone of all ages.

The Lake Minnewanka area is a must-visit stop on your trip to Banff National Park.

With access to wildlife, a variety of hikes, and iconic lakes, you will want to make sure to leave yourself at least an afternoon to explore this amazing part of Banff.

Lake Minnewanka is a glacial lake located in the eastern area of Banff National Park in Canada, about five kilometres northeast of the Banff townsite. The lake is 21 km long and 142 m deep, making it the 2nd longest lake in the mountain parks of the Canadian Rockies.
