Hike the Lake Agnes Trail - Banff - Alberta

Lake Agnes Trail is a 7.4 kilometer heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada that features a waterfall.

The hike is a steep incline all the way up, but manageable. Would recommend crampons this time of year, as people were sliding down the path.

The Agnes Lake teahouse is situated along the eastern shore at an elevation of 2134 meters (7002 ft) – supposedly the highest tea house in the world.

However, it was closed when we went up. So make sure if you do want to have some tea and scones that you check if it’s open.

Really rewarding and beautiful hike that takes you away from the busyness of Lake Louise and up into the stunning frozen lakes Mirror and Agnes.

During the fall and winter it is much more difficult due to the snow but is still easily possible to traverse with poles or without - just make sure you have appropriate footwear and don't bring young children.
